Successful blood typing event at North Mid
NHS Spurs marked #NationalBloodWeek by supporting a blood typing event at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, alongside NHS Blood and Transplant and partners including the MHRA.
Together, we raised awareness of the urgent need for more blood donors, particularly among Black, Asian and mixed heritage communities, where finding well-matched donations can be more challenging.
Using a quick finger-prick test, NHS staff, supporters, and members of the public were able to learn their blood type - an important first step for anyone considering becoming a donor and helping to save lives.
At NHS Spurs, we’re proud to use the power of football to connect communities and support initiatives that make a real difference to patient care. By working with trusted partners across the NHS, we can help raise awareness, build confidence and encourage more people to take that first step towards giving blood.
A big thank you to everyone at North Middlesex University Hospital, NHS Blood and Transplant, and the MHRA for making this event such a success.

This year’s event follows the success of last year’s event, which club legend Ledley King attended.
