Help build a more prepared community
As the England team prepares to take on the World this summer, we’re reminded how quickly moments can change - and in real life, when cardiac arrest happens outside of hospital, every second matters.
Fewer than one in 10 people survive, but learning CPR and how to use a defibrillator can more than double someone’s chances of survival.
That’s why we’re encouraging NHS Spurs members to join the London Ambulance Service’s London Lifesavers programme - a simple way to gain vital lifesaving skills and be ready to act when it counts.
Why this matters
Supporting the health and wellbeing of our community is central to what we do.
By becoming a London Lifesaver, you’ll help improve survival rates across the capital and gain the confidence to step in during an emergency.
Our campaign has two aims:
Encouraging NHS Spurs members to sign up
London Lifesavers offers free, accessible training on recognising cardiac arrest, performing CPR, and using a defibrillator. Registration takes just a few minutes — and the impact could be life‑changing.
As an added incentive, everyone who completes the steps below will be entered into a prize draw.
Celebrating members who are already London Lifesavers
Many of our members are already part of the scheme, and we’d love to highlight your experiences in our feature:
“I’m a London Lifesaver - and you can be too.”
If you’re already registered, simply select this option on the form to be entered into the prize draw as well.

How to get involved
To take part in the campaign and enter the prize draw:
Step one: Complete the London Lifesaver training
Set 5 minutes aside and view the video on the London Ambulance Service website (or view the video at the bottom of this page).
Step two: Let the team know once you’ve completed it

Step three: Complete our short NHS Spurs form
This confirms your entry into the prize draw.
Already a London Lifesaver? Simply complete the form and select that you’re already registered to be entered into the draw.
Together, let’s help make London a place where no one faces a cardiac arrest without someone nearby who knows how to help.
